Pitch 1: Waco's Words

Broadcast Video:

When key Wacoans put pen to paper to describe their town, they jotted down words like vibrant, creative, and quirky. Their full list is brimming with fun words, and Waco, as it happens, lives up to every one of their descriptors in spades.

Through a mixture of original cinematography and dynamic motion graphics, this concept layers the words themselves with a fresh and modern vision of the Waco lifestyle. Youthful and exuberant, original and authentic.

The spot begins ambiguously at first, with beautiful, tightly cropped and textured imagery that could be from just about any destination that values food, art, home goods, and fashion.

As we see more and more words sewn into the visual story—moving, growing, welcoming, friendly—we get a much clearer picture of where we are—deep in the heart of Texas.

The final payoff is the biggest twist of all. Just one word: WACO.

This concept speaks to your audience with bright, bold visual strokes without the need for a voiceover—just an energetic score, animated type, and sound design.

This concept is also scalable. It can be tailored as short, social media pieces for specific demographics—like families or middle-age women or home improvement enthusiasts—or combined for a thousand-foot-view of the most exciting city you never knew about.

PRINT & Digital CAMPAIGN:

This campaign would translate easily to print, from full-page ads to the smallest of online ads. Using a single word as a headline can allow maximum flexibility to promote various sets of attractions or to resonate with particular demographics of visitors.

Even when there's no room for explanatory type, a single bold word filled with images will draw user's attention to click through and see what's going on. And if it's important to be obvious, we'll use WACO as the headline. As you can see from the home page, it makes for a compelling visual!
