Pitch 2: get local
Broadcast Video:
If you want to really experience someplace, get a local to show you around. That’s exactly what we want to do with this concept. We will commission the people who love to call Waco home to be our tour guides and show off their favorite hidden gems.
We get intimate, backstage looks at the city, and also the chance to meet Waco’s greatest natural resource—the people.
These short vignettes can feature either local personalities or random Wacoans on the street. (There are so many fun folks to choose from, like food trucker Youngdae Moon, musician Kimberley Kelly, artist Katie Croft, and countless others!) Either way, we’ll get the insider’s tip for the best places to lose yourself, the best food to order off the menu, and the wildest way to experience Waco.
THINGS LIKE:

- Sipping an ice cream float from the Dr Pepper Museum

Each person’s tip can be cut-down to individual videos for social media, but when all of them are edited together, we’re treated to a slice-of-life look at Waco like we’ve never seen before.
PRINT & ONLINE CAMPAIGN:
This concept would translate well for print and digital by featuring a single local for each ad. When there's room, we'd use a picture of the local plus images of the featured spots. For smaller formats, we could simplify to the headline "Get Local" with no tie-in to a particular personality required.
